Verification codes

Text message, email or authenticator app: where to look depends on the kind of code you are waiting for, because each one reaches you by a different route. If you pressed the button and nothing came, or the code is rejected, verification code not received treats the three kinds separately. If the phone number or inbox the code goes to is no longer yours, the real job is changing it on the account. A code that turns up when you did nothing is covered separately: a verification code you did not request.
