What you seeThe login screen stops you and will not let you past
Binance login not working: start from the screen that stops you
Look at what the Binance login screen asked for just before you got stuck. A password box that keeps refusing you calls for a password reset. A passkey pop-up after the password was accepted calls for passkey verification, or a way around it. If you cannot even start because you do not remember which email or phone number the account uses, that is Binance’s “Forgot Account” appeal, covered step by step further down.
Whichever it is, open Binance from an address you typed yourself, not from a link in a message or an ad. Nobody who contacts you by phone or private message can get you back in faster; if you need Binance support, reach it through the official Binance website.
Where the login stops, and which route to take
| Where you are stuck | Route | What is restricted afterwards |
|---|---|---|
| Password rejected or forgotten | Forgot password? on the login page | Withdrawals, P2P selling, payment services and internal transfers, for 24 hours |
| Passkey prompt on a desktop | Scan the QR code with the Binance app, or My Passkeys Are Not Available | If you end up in a 2FA reset, up to 48 hours of the same pause |
| Code missing or authenticator gone | The pages linked below | Up to 48 hours if it ends in a 2FA reset |
| Forgot the account’s email or phone | “Forgot Account” appeal | Not listed on the appeal page; review typically within 1 working day, weekends excluded |
Forgot your Binance password: reset it from the login page
The website and the app use the same steps.
- On Binance.com, click Log In. In the app, tap Sign Up / Log In.
- Enter the account’s email or phone number and click Next.
- If the account has passkeys, a passkey prompt comes first. Click Cancel, then choose My Passkeys Are Not Available.
- Click Forgot password?.
- Read the notes, then click Continue.
- Complete the security verifications Binance asks for.
- Enter a new password and click Confirm. It needs at least 8 characters, 1 number and 1 upper-case letter.
- Log in with the new password.
For step 6, the page only says “complete the required security verifications”. Its notes add that without your passkeys you verify with your other 2FA devices, and that if you cannot use any 2FA device, you follow Binance’s guide How to Reset 2FA When I Can’t Access My Binance Account?.
B-01On screenThe password is refused every time, though you are sure it is right
Stop guessing and click Forgot password? on the same screen. A reset swaps a password you are unsure of for one you just chose, at the cost of the 24-hour pause described next. If the screen says the account is locked or disabled instead, go to the last section.
B-02On screenThe reset asks for a code and nothing arrives
That is a delivery problem, and repeating the reset will not fix it. Use the section on code problems further down, then come back to step 6 once a code arrives.
What the reset switches off for 24 hours
Binance states it at the top of the page and again before Continue: “for security reasons, withdrawals, P2P selling, payment services and internal transfers will be disabled for 24 hours after resetting your password.” If you need to withdraw soon, reset now, because the 24 hours count from the reset.
Still logged in? Change the password instead
If the app still has you signed in, skip the reset. Binance’s page How to Change My Password on Binance App? goes: Account Center icon on the homepage, your profile, Security, Password, Continue, verifications, new password, Confirm. It lists withdrawals, P2P selling and payment services as disabled for 24 hours after a change.
If a button name here no longer matches your screen, compare it with Binance’s How to Reset Your Binance Account Password? and, for the appeal further down, How to Appeal for ‘Forgot Account’ on Binance?. Both were checked October 2026.
Password accepted, but Binance asks for a passkey
Binance’s page How to Complete Passkey Verification on a Desktop? describes the computer case like this:
- If the passkey was created on an iOS or Android phone, the desktop shows a QR code pop-up.
- Open the Binance app on the phone you used to create the passkey, tap the QR code scanner on the app homepage, and scan the code on the desktop.
- On Android, you can tap OK to remember the desktop, so you will not need to scan next time. The phone then completes the verification by itself.
- On iPhone, tap Continue to connect the passkey to the desktop, then tap Continue again to sign in with Face ID or Touch ID.
Step 2 names one device: the phone the passkey was created on, not just any phone with the app.
B-03On screenThe desktop shows a QR code and the passkey phone is somewhere else
Either wait until you have that phone, or click Cancel, choose My Passkeys Are Not Available, and verify with another 2FA method the account has. If you have none you can use, read the next subsection first.
The passkey itself is gone
Binance has a setting called “Must verify using passkey”. With it on, its page says you must verify with a passkey both to log in and to withdraw, and “you won’t be able to log in to your Binance account if you lose access to your passkeys”. The same page says to turn it off before you change to a different phone, log in to a new iCloud account, change passkey settings in the phone’s system settings, or reinstall the Binance app.
When the passkey cannot be used any more, that page sends you to Binance’s 2FA reset, which starts from the Security verification unavailable? link during login; the full flow is in getting back in after your authenticator is gone.
Login codes that do not arrive
An SMS or email code that does not come, or an authenticator code Binance rejects, is handled channel by channel in Binance verification code not received. If the phone number or email that receives your codes is no longer yours, the steps for replacing it are in changing the email or phone number on your account.
Forgot which email or phone number your Binance account uses
Binance’s appeal page is direct: if you have forgotten the phone number or email address, “you must go through the self-service ‘Forgot Account’ Appeal process and submit all requirements”. Chat is not a shortcut. Customer Service sends you the same appeal link, by ChatBot or in the chat.
Where to find the appeal
The page links one appeal for each kind of account; open it from there, not from a search result.
- Account not yet verified: the “Forgot Account” Appeal for unverified accounts. The same link appears on the “Need help to login?” page that you see when a login is unsuccessful.
- KYC-verified account: the “Forgot Account” Appeal for verified accounts. The page says this link is also shown in your account’s Verification Center when KYC verification is unsuccessful.
What the appeal asks for
- Read the notes on the page and have your ID card ready, ideally the one used to verify your Binance account.
- Select your Nationality. It should match the nationality on the ID card.
- Upload one photo of the ID card with the ID number clearly visible. The photo must not be cropped, have glare or be blurry. For a digital ID, upload a screenshot of it.
- Record and upload the statement video (next subsection).
- Optionally, add a video proof of a deposit.
- Submit, then wait to be notified that the review is complete.
The statement video
Hold the ID with the front facing the camera and your face clearly visible beside it, and read this sentence with the real date filled in:
“Today is DD-MM-YYYY. I forgot my Binance account due to personal reasons. Please help to provide the account information.”
The page also asks for one continuous take with no edits or cuts, a clear and understandable statement, high quality picture and sound, the same ID you uploaded, and details that match that ID. Save it as an .mp4, .mov or .rmvb file and upload it.
B-04On screenThe appeal wants the statement in English and you do not speak English
The page allows the spoken statement in your own language. In that case, write the English sentence above on a piece of paper, with the correct date, and hold the note in front of the camera together with your ID while you speak.
The deposit video: not mandatory, but recommended
The page calls this video “optional, but recommended”. It proves you sent a deposit, by showing the withdrawal record on the other platform (not Binance) that matches the deposit record in your Binance account. It should show your face at the start or the end, your largest deposit to the account in the last 3 months, and the screen of the device you log in on. Screen recorders are not accepted.
How long the review takes
Binance’s wording is “as promptly as possible, typically within 1 working day (weekends excluded)”, and you are notified when it is done.
Forgot both the password and the account email? Appeal first
Do the “Forgot Account” appeal before any password reset. The reset starts at step 2, entering the account’s email or phone number, so without that you do not reach Forgot password? at all. The appeal’s statement asks Binance to “provide the account information”, which is exactly the missing piece. Once you have it, the reset is the ordinary one above, and its 24-hour pause starts only then.
Logged in, then told the account is disabled or frozen
If you get through and Binance then says the account is disabled, locked or frozen, the way back differs from one state to the next; the cases are set out in account frozen, locked or disabled.
After a reset: plan around the pause
The pause on withdrawals, P2P selling, payment services and internal transfers runs from the moment of the reset, 24 hours for a password and up to 48 for a 2FA reset, so do not plan a withdrawal or a P2P sale inside that window. If you use Must verify using passkey for important scenarios, keep in mind that it has to be switched off before your next phone change, new iCloud account, change to passkey settings or app reinstall, as Binance’s page advises.
Questions people ask

On the login page, enter your email or phone number and click Next. If a passkey prompt appears, click Cancel and choose My Passkeys Are Not Available. Then click Forgot password?, read the notes, click Continue and complete the security verifications. The new password needs at least 8 characters, 1 number and 1 upper-case letter.
How long after a Binance password reset can I withdraw?
Binance's reset page says withdrawals, P2P selling, payment services and internal transfers are disabled for 24 hours after you reset the password. A withdrawal has to wait until those 24 hours have passed.
I forgot which email my Binance account uses. How do I get back in?
Use Binance's self-service Forgot Account appeal. There is one version for unverified accounts and one for KYC-verified accounts. You select your nationality, upload a photo of your ID and record a statement video holding the ID. Binance says the review is typically within 1 working day, weekends excluded.
Binance passkey verification is stuck on my computer. What should I do?
If the passkey was created on a phone, the desktop shows a QR code. Open the Binance app on the phone that created the passkey, tap the QR code scanner on the homepage and scan it, then confirm on the phone. If that phone is not available, click Cancel, choose My Passkeys Are Not Available and verify with another 2FA method.
